Job Summary
Own and drive end-to-end technical implementation programs focused on enhancing internal tooling for WEX employees, creating detailed work breakdowns, milestones, and multi-quarter roadmaps. Facilitate ongoing planning sessions to adjust priorities, ensure alignment with business goals, and encourage adaptive planning in response to changing requirements. Monitor progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with Tech and Product leaders to surface issues and facilitate course corrections. Manage dependencies across multiple projects and technologies, while maintaining high standards of data hygiene within standard project management tools. Engage with stakeholders across Technology, Product, and Solution Architecture to ensure visibility, provide timely updates, and address concerns. Track program performance against committed plans, use data to drive decision-making, and report on status to key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in technical/information science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in technical program management overseeing key projects with high visibility to internal or external customers, with a high degree of complexity and inter-dependent work
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including hands-on experience with various phases
- Solid understanding of, and detailed experience with, common internal organizational tools for email, chat, work management, project management, product ideation, continuous integration and delivery of software, and workspace management
- Strong familiarity with technologies and processes associated with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience driving highly technical transformation initiatives that represent new ways of working for cross-functional teams in various areas and disciplines
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum)
- Proactive leadership, and confidence to drive results
- Proven ability to motivate cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner)
- Previous experience in FinTech or highly regulated environments
- Hands-on familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Google Drive, etc.
- Ideally within the Atlassian suite
