Job Summary
Drive execution, demonstration, and fielding of a Maritime Domain Awareness solution for autonomous underwater vehicles, owning the software product roadmap and acoustic mesh networking backlog. Coordinate release planning, feature prioritization, and technical debt reduction based on customer feedback and field results. Serve as the primary onsite representative during defense exercises, troubleshooting system-level issues in real time and managing customer expectations transparently. Build trusted relationships with fleet units and operators while aligning demonstration activities to acquisition timelines. Operate with high independence across software, firmware, and hardware teams, making real-time decisions on scope and priorities without constant escalation. Travel 40%-60% of the time to support customer sites, ranges, and shipboard locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or related field
- Passion for hardware development
- 8+ years of robotics experience
- Experience in technical project management
- Experience in systems engineering
- Experience in relevant project management
- Experience in relevant systems engineering
- Experience leading or executing product development of any type of system from TRL 3-8
- Ability to translate system test, integration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of government contract structure and reporting
- Extremely organized
- Detail oriented
- Exceptional communication skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
