Job Summary
This role involves owning the technical vision for products and driving execution for product development programs in high-speed optical networks. Responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, ensuring manufacturing readiness, supporting engineering teams with supplier discussions, and preparing technical documentation and reviews. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, substantial knowledge of photonics, and proven success in new product introduction. Preferred skills include project management in integrated photonics and hands-on design to manufacturability experience.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Materials Science, or related field, or equivalent experience in photonics reliability engineering with direct exposure to Optical system, Silicon Photonics, laser technologies, and optical transceivers
- Strong knowledge in photonics device physics, photonics packaging, and failure mechanisms
- Demonstrated success supporting NPI programs and product qualification from concept through volume production
- In-depth knowledge of relevant standards (GR-468, Telcordia, JEDEC, MIL-STD) required for a successful program release
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional and supplier teams
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment serving telecom/datacom markets
Desired Qualifications
- Project management experience in integrated photonics packaging and co-design (optical + electrical) from design to production release
- Hands on experience in design to manufacturability and cost
- Willing and not afraid to adapt to unfamiliar area to ensure a success program
- Willing to travel to supplier and manufacturing partner during the product design or transfer phase
