Job Summary
Technical Program Manager, API Platform at Anthropic role focuses on driving scaling and core efficiency programs for the API stack across API, infrastructure, networking, and inference. You’ll connect isolated workstreams into a single cohesive roadmap, surface cross‐org dependencies, and establish clarity on ownership and decisions. Responsibilities include leading multiple large programs, coordinating across API, infrastructure, databases, networking, and inference teams, and communicating risks and progress to engineering leadership. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of TPM experience, hands-on experience with API platforms and distributed systems, experience delivering scaling or efficiency improvements for high‐volume production systems, strong cross‐team coordination, and excellent written and verbal communication. This position may be based in San Francisco with a hybrid work arrangement; Anthropic sponsors visas for eligible candidates and supports relocation as applicable. The annual compensation range is $365,000–$435,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- Experience with API platforms, distributed systems, and core infrastructure programs
- Ability to coordinate programs across many partner organizations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to sponsor visas for eligible candidates
