Job Summary
Technical Product Owner / Senior Engineer at Iris Software responsible for owning and prioritizing the data product backlog, defining the Databricks Lakehouse strategy (ETL/ELT pipelines, Delta Lake optimization, SQL analytics), and serving as the primary interface between business units and engineering. Responsibilities include end-to-end delivery of data products with data quality and security controls, partner collaboration on governance, and leading Agile ceremonies to drive high-velocity delivery. Required qualifications emphasize 5+ years in data-driven PO/PM roles, Databricks expertise (SQL, Notebooks, workflows), modern data architectures, SQL with Python/Spark, cloud data services, and Jira/Confluence proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or Technical Product Manager in data-driven environments
- Databricks SQL, Notebooks, and workflows experience
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures (Medallion architecture, Data Lakehouse, ELT processes)
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python/Spark for data manipulation
- Cloud Platforms experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, or AWS/GCP equivalents
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
