Job Summary
Technical Product Owner II responsible for translating product strategy into well-defined user stories for a centralized data platform, leading sprint activities, ensuring data quality/governance, and aligning with engineering and business stakeholders. Requires SQL, Snowflake/dbt, data governance concepts, Agile backlog management, and ability to communicate complex data concepts to business audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or related technical field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a data-focused software development environment
- SQL proficiency in warehouse environment
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Experience with data governance concepts (data quality frameworks, data lineage, metadata management, or data catalog tooling)
- Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns (data lakehouse, data mesh, ELT pipelines, data modeling)
- Experience managing a product backlog and driving sprint planning in Agile
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a SaaS environment translating user needs into user stories
