Technical Product Operations Specialist
On-siteSingapore, Singapore
Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve production quality problems with contract manufacturers, review QC records, and hold finished-goods release sign-off while managing adverse event reporting and facility audits. Interpret identity, potency, and probiotic viability results to verify label accuracy and oversee end-to-end stability programs from protocol review to launch. Scope and manage benefit/proof studies using literature, clinical data, and CROs to generate claims evidence, while determining NDI/GRAS/ODI status and maintaining ingredient dossiers for US and Australian markets. Provide technical input on formulation feasibility, qualify new suppliers, and partner with supply chain and marketing on batch-release readiness. This hands-on role supports the Product function in scaling a DTC health brand from scratch to over $100M in annual sales, serving 3 million customers globally.
Required Qualifications
- A scientific/technical background (food science, chemistry, nutrition, pharma/biotech, or related)
- Experience setting production quality standards and managing quality through CMO/CDMO partners — batch records, CAPA, release — rather than an owned site
- Able to interpret stability and ingredient testing data (probiotic or botanical) critically — you won't design assays, but you must know what the data means
- Hands-on US ingredient/regulatory experience in a regulated consumer category — NDI/GRAS, permitted ingredients, FDA-adjacent compliance
- Experience scoping or managing benefit/claims studies with third-party labs or CROs
- Comfortable as the sole technical voice — independent, process-literate in a stage-gate system, and communicating clearly with commercial leaders
- Sound, D2C-agile judgement between quality and commercial reality
- Comfortable with occasional night calls to coincide with US partners
- US ingredient and regulatory requirements as a required supporting skillset
Desired Qualifications
- Direct facility auditing
- Experience interpreting stability and ingredient testing data (probiotic or botanical)
- A scientific/technical background (food science, chemistry, nutrition, pharma/biotech, or related)
