Job Summary
Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies for technical products, overseeing the entire lifecycle from ideation through launch and optimization. Define requirements and roadmaps in collaboration with engineering teams using Agile methodologies, ensuring solutions meet CMS, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements while delivering business value. Bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders by translating complex concepts into value propositions, conducting market research, and analyzing customer feedback to drive improvements. Coordinate product launches, manage vendor relationships, and track key performance indicators to ensure products solve real customer problems within budget and schedule. This fully remote role requires Pacific Time availability for regular stakeholder meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management or business analyst experience in a highly regulated industry
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and data validation
- Experience with ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS and Azure Data Factory
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Understanding of APIs, databases, and modern development stacks
- Knowledge of EDI standards and file protocols (HIPAA 837/835/820)
- Experience with product management tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Vendor management and SLA performance oversight
- Ability to communicate positively, professionally and effectively with others; provide leadership, teach and collaborate with others
- Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to establish and maintain a constructive relationship with diverse members, management, employees and vendors
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and calculate simple statistics correctly
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; advanced problem-solving; ability to use advanced reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and design, implement and manage appropriate resolution
- Effective problem solving, organizational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Report Analysis Skills: Comprehend and analyze statistical reports
- Must be available to work Pacific Time meetings regularly to support business operations, and stakeholder meetings regularly
Desired Qualifications
- Specific healthcare payer experience
- Experience supporting Medicare STARS, HEDIS, and healthcare quality programs within a health plan or healthcare payer organization
- MBA or advanced degree
