Job Summary
Lead technical product management for Vanguard's Azure contingency site, defining features, analyzing markets, and managing the full product life cycle from planning to execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create best practices, resolve production issues, and drive escalations for rapid delivery. Partner with AWS-side product managers to maintain core feature parity and build simplified versions of the primary platform. Prepare documentation, support go-to-market activities, and leverage feedback to steer future product direction. Execute agile development practices, prioritize features based on user impact and business continuity, and translate technical concepts into business assessments for US stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in technical product management
- At least 2 years leading large cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Azure services (compute, storage, networking, security)
- Knowledge of US financial services regulations and compliance requirements (SOX, SEC regulations, data privacy)
- Experience with AWS and multi-cloud deployment strategies
- Background in US financial services technology, particularly trading platforms or wealth management systems
- Proven experience identifying core features and simplifying complex user experiences while maintaining essential functionality
- Experience prioritizing features based on user impact and business continuity requirements
- Experience working with distributed engineering teams and managing cross-functional dependencies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to make data-driven decisions about feature prioritization and platform capabilities
- Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership in both regions
- Demonstrated success in cross-product collaboration and defining feature requirements across different platform teams
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business impact and risk assessments for US-based stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with track record of delivering on committed timelines
