Job Summary
Lead technical coordination for eAxle product development during pre-development and acquisition phases, driving discussions with suppliers to optimize components, improve manufacturability, and reduce costs. Coordinate cross-functional teams including System, Mechanical, HW, SW, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Testing while supporting prototype and A-sample development to ensure supplier readiness and build execution. Analyze market trends, competitor products, and new technologies to identify opportunities and translate customer needs into technical product concepts and roadmap inputs. Collaborate with global engineering teams, particularly in Europe, to support early customer technical discussions and feasibility studies. Promote Design-to-Cost, VA/VE, and platform reuse across product development. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 5+ years in eAxle or electric powertrain development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
- 5+ years experience in eAxle, electric powertrain or automotive system development
- Good understanding of eMotor, Inverter, Gearbox and eAxle system architecture
- Experience in advanced development, concept development or acquisition projects
- Experience coordinating prototype/sample builds and cross-functional engineering activities
- Familiar with supplier technical management, DTC/VAVE, APQP or V-model
- Strong communication and coordination skills in an international engineering environment
