Technical Product Manager

$145,000–$225,000 year

On-siteNew York City, New York, United States or San Francisco, California, United States

Full TimeSmall

Job Summary

Own the strategy and roadmap for your area of the Data Factory, leading complex operational efforts from early prototypes through scaled production systems. Build the first version of scripts, queries, dashboards, and workflows yourself, then partner with Engineering and Research to implement them at scale. Translate customer model capabilities into concrete requirements and project plans, using data to guide decision-making and measure performance against throughput, quality, and cost. Take full-stack accountability across product, operations, and customers to solve bottlenecks and ensure delivery, with a bias for rapid prototyping and fluid collaboration across teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or another technical / STEM field, or comparable work experience
  • 2-8 years of experience in product, operations, consulting, or startup environments
  • Direct experience as a product manager, technical program manager, founder, or technical operator accountable for outcomes
  • Highly proficient in SQL and able to develop lightweight prototypes end-to-end
  • A track record of building your own tools in operationally complex roles, or of taking a messy business problem from data foundation through analysis to implementation
  • Systems thinker who can spot leverage points and design for scale and durability
  • Strong product intuition, able to work with engineers and researchers to get to the right answer fast
  • High-execution operator: fast, detail-oriented, and uncompromising on quality
  • Collaborative and low-ego, willing to roll up your sleeves
