Job Summary
Technical Procedure Writer will develop, review, and maintain operational procedures, system descriptions (SDDs), and production documentation for nuclear facility processes, translating engineering concepts and workflows into clear, concise procedures. The role requires collaboration with engineers, operations, safety, and quality personnel to ensure regulatory compliance with DOE requirements and nuclear QA standards. On-site in Oak Ridge, TN, full-time assignment with opportunities to support audits, document control, and procedure validation through field walkdowns and ongoing updates.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in technical or procedure writing within a nuclear, DOE, or highly regulated industrial environment
- Strong understanding of technical systems, engineering processes, or manufacturing operations
- Proven ability to work with subject matter experts to develop accurate technical documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information
- Experience using Microsoft Word and document formatting tools for controlled procedures
- Ability to work on-site in Oak Ridge, TN on a full-time basis
