Job Summary
Support users of the IBM Planning Analytics finance planning tool throughout the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, including new user setup, report troubleshooting, and ad-hoc query resolution. Partner with FP&A and technical teams to gather requirements, prepare test cases, and execute unit testing for system upgrades and enhancements. Maintain system documentation, deliver end-user training, and manage change requests to deliver roadmap improvements. Identify opportunities to strengthen data flows, automate reporting processes, and simplify self-service support. Work alongside the development team to ensure the platform remains reliable and appropriately configured across the planning process.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of finance principles
- Previous experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Experience working with finance analysts
- 4+ years of IBM Planning Analytics development experience (v2.0 or higher)
- Knowledge of Server installation and system configuration
- Knowledge of Cube and application design
- Knowledge of Planning Analytics TI and Chores
- Knowledge of Rules and Feeders
- Knowledge of Planning Analytics Security, including Element Security
- Knowledge of MDX and SQL
- Knowledge of Planning Analytics REST API, preferably through Cubewise Canvas
- Hands-on experience with Python
- Hands-on experience with TM1Py
- Hands-on experience with HTML
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interact effectively with users at all levels of seniority
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations across the organization
- Educational or professional background in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- TM1 experience
- Exposure to master data management solutions
- Experience with Cognos BI integration
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
