Technical Outside Sales Representative

Job Summary
Build relationships with new and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for Industrial Controls, sensors, safety, connectivity, and complementary product offerings. Identify opportunities to grow sales within assigned territories by prospecting, networking, and following up on leads while assisting in preparing and delivering technical presentations. Collaborate with technical teams to provide accurate solutions to customer challenges and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process. Evaluate training needs of internal customers to make them self-sufficient in Industrial Controls Products and be the customer's champion with suppliers to resolve technical or commercial issues. Set and achieve performance goals aligned with progression to a senior-level role while working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Technologist, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a technical role (internships or co-op experience considered)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn about complex products and solutions
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to take on challenges
- Valid driver's license, passport and ability to travel within assigned territory
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the electrical, automation, or energy industries
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
