Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and control glass production processes from a remote-control room while troubleshooting equipment and responding to alarms. Perform quality checks, execute process changes, and maintain assets using sealants to ensure production integrity. Work independently in a non-climate-controlled environment, managing up to 12 hours of daily tasks including lifting and climbing. Maintain a safe work environment through proper PPE usage and communicate all safety concerns to supervisors. Manage assignments effectively and escalate unresolved issues as needed. This role supports Hot End Operations with a 4-4-5 schedule, offering either day or night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance
- Experience using a computer and familiarity with technology
- Must be able to work 5:45am-6pm (DAYS) or 5:45pm-6am (NIGHTS) on a 4-4-5 schedule
- Must be able to work in and around heat for periods of time
- Must be able to lift/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, climbing, stooping, and standing, up to 12 hours/day
- Must be able to operate, monitor and control process operation
- Must be able to troubleshoot from a remote-control room up to 6 hours daily
- Must be able to respond to any alarms including some emergency responses
- Must be able to maintain and support asset repair
- Must be able to perform quality checks and inspections
- Must be able to prepare and perform process changes
- Must be able to maintain constant communication with team
- Must be able to escalate unresolved issues as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training or certification in manufacturing or industrial processes
- Experience with controlling and managing a manufacturing process using multiple interfaces
- Experience working independently and/or with minimal supervision
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting manufacturing processes
- Experience working in a control room
