Technical Operations Supervisor

Technical Operations Supervisor at CHOP will act as a liaison among DVR, Facilities, and related departments to coordinate and oversee facility projects, equipment, and space management for the DVR animal facility operations. Responsibilities include managing work orders, supervising the Cage Wash team, maintaining equipment and QC procedures (autoclave strips, temp tapes, BIs, chlorine flushing stations), coordinating vendor issues (Edstrom Watchdog System), overseeing lighting controls, pest control coordination, ensuring potable water quality for animals, directing procurement and equipment redeployment, maintaining SOPs, supporting accreditation/compliance, providing SME guidance to investigators and staff, training staff on policies and SOPs, and contributing to space allocation decisions. Requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, plus the ability to interpret policies for staff, coordinate audits and inspections, and collaborate with stakeholders. Must have a High School Diploma/GED (Bachelor's preferred), a valid Driver's License, and demonstrate 5+ years of facility technical operations experience with at least 1 year in leadership. The role is full-time, day shift, based in Philadelphia, PA, USA, with salary between $81,670 and $104,130 annually.
