TECHNICAL MEDIA PRODUCER - KWTX

Job Summary
Coordinate live acquisition of reporters and news video using ENG microwave and IP-based transmission platforms while monitoring and maintaining on-air signals for KWTX, KNCT, OWTX, and MNCT via the Master Control automation system. Work alongside new producers to create, code, and direct dynamic newscasts, on-air programming, and digital content including livestreams and podcasts. Perform regular care and maintenance of studio equipment, lighting, cameras, and sets. This full-time role in Waco, Texas, requires flexible scheduling including mornings, nights, weekends, and out-of-town assignments, with the ability to sit, stand, climb ladders, and lift 30 pounds. Advanced computer literacy and experience with HD video production and automation systems are required.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible to work mornings, nights, weekends, out-of-town assignments, and changing schedules
- Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Able to climb and work on ladders
- Able to comfortably lift 30 pounds or more
- Advanced computer literacy
- Strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling
- Must be excellent at multitasking without quality loss
- Good understanding of inventory management
- Able to work with large sets of alphanumeric data sets
- KWTX-TV/Gray Media is a drug-free company
Desired Qualifications
- While previous television experience is not required, experience with HD video production, Ross Overdrive, Nverzion, VizRT Graphics, V-Mix, Grass Valley ITX Master Control Automation, ENPS and non-linear editing systems is a definite plus
