Job Summary
Generate, communicate, and update a Work Period-focused materials availability schedule for each Service Lead. Create material demand in Thales systems, track reservations, and review Bills-of-Material for Preventative Maintenance Short Work Periods. Coordinate alternate material sources when primary supplies are unavailable, resolve unavailability issues with Supply Support Specialists and the Material Demand Planner, and initiate obsolescence processes as required. Raise requisitions for maintenance equipment, track delivery dates, and communicate impacts to the service team. Participate in root-cause investigations for material shortages and advise on alternative acquisition methods. This role ensures all customer-facing service delivery work has the required materials while maintaining strict regulatory compliance under Canadian Export Control List, ITAR, and EAR requirements. Candidates must obtain and maintain a NATO Secret Level Security Clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Direct or indirect access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the ITAR or the EAR
- A positive Controlled Goods assessment
- A Security Clearance at the NATO Secret Level
- At least 3 years' experience working with the Military, and/or on a Defence contract or project
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Previous experience working with SAP, MAXIMO or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Experience with the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
- Strong clerical skills, with high attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work autonomously
- Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- Experience working within procurement, finance, project management or Supply Chain & Warehousing environments
- Open minded and able to listen; share ideas while bringing added value / capturing innovation
- Must meet all federal government requirements to access Canadian government facilities, including naval dockyards
- Eligibility or ability to obtain authorization for access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Eligibility to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
- Ability to obtain a Canadian NATO Secret clearance
