Job Summary
Lead technical linear infrastructure designs and prepare contract documents for municipal and industrial clients, covering planning, execution, and close-out. Develop design concepts, conduct constructability reviews, and prepare detailed calculations, technical reports, and construction specifications for complex projects. Perform bid and construction phase services while supporting business development proposals and project estimating. Coordinate and mentor technical staff, overseeing project teams in collaboration with Project Managers. Maintain current knowledge of engineering standards and emerging technologies through involvement in technical societies. Requires PE license in VA, DC, and/or MD, with 8+ years of experience in water infrastructure design and trenchless technologies. Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering
- 8+ years of experience (demonstrated expertise accepted) with technical proficiency in water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design, including gravity pipeline design, pressure pipeline design and pipeline rehabilitation utilizing trenchless technologies
- Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations and how they apply to our Municipal and Industrial clients
- Knowledge and experience with major national and industrial engineering design codes, standards, guidelines, and best practices needed for design of complex structures and projects
- PE license in VA, DC and/or MD required with ability to obtain multiple licenses through reciprocity
