Job Summary
Technical Manager provides mill-wide leadership in the Technical, Quality and Environmental functions, guiding safety performance, cost improvement, pulp and paper manufacturing optimization, and production testing. Leads and supports Lean Six Sigma activities, maintains ISO certification standards, ensures environmental compliance, and drives asset maximization. Oversees variable cost improvement efforts, collaborates with the technology center and procurement, and partners with marketing, sales, and customers on product improvements. Champions Product Quality Management to enhance customer satisfaction and leads multiple complex projects while managing cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (chemical engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in Kraft pulp and paper coated paper production (coating knowledge a plus)
- 3-5 years upper-level management experience, pulp and paper
