Job Summary
Manage the running of the School's teaching laboratories, ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and health and safety documentation. Lead a team of eight Teaching Technicians, supporting their design and delivery of workshop and laboratory-based classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students across chemical, light structures, mechanical, power, and electronics engineering. Deliver a safe and efficient working environment while optimising resource use across seven dedicated teaching labs and multi-use spaces.
Required Qualifications
- experienced and talented
- line management responsibility for 8 (or the) Teaching Technicians
- support them in the successful design and delivery of workshop and laboratory-based teaching
- excellent H&S awareness
- familiarity with H&S documentation (e.g., risk assessments, COSHH)
- 100% on campus
