Job Summary
Technical Manager in the Dams Group responsible for overseeing structural design staff and delivering designs for dams, waterfront structures, and other heavy civil works. Responsibilities include performing evaluations, design calculations, and construction-phase engineering across concrete, steel, and wood members; conducting field inspections; producing reports and design documentation; developing design concepts and criteria; coordinating QA/QC and value engineering; utilizing software such as STAAD PRO, GT STRUDL, MathCAD, and Enercalc; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Requires 15+ years in structural design for dams/harbors/heavy civil projects, BS in Civil/Structural Engineering, and a Registered Professional Engineer. Remote work is not available for this posting; role is in-person in Oakland, CA, USA.
