Job Summary

Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities for staff responsible for setup, maintenance, and repair of thermoforming and peripheral manufacturing equipment to satisfy production schedules. Supervise Setup Technicians and Mechanics, including interviewing, hiring, training, and directing work while monitoring performance and resolving problems. Develop preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, organize equipment manuals, and lead troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection, while maintaining a clutter-free environment. Collaborate with Production Control and Process Engineers to optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness and reduce scrap generation. Work a 24/7 schedule, including swing shifts, to ensure consistency across four shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment serving in progressive roles
  • At least 3 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and TMM
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand English
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors
  • Must have the ability to comprehend and apply the principles of algebra
  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to effectively manage a staff that works the 24/7 schedule
  • Must be able to properly communicate and coordinate activities on the evening and weekend work schedule
  • Must be able to Periodically work a swing shift
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of 6S, SMED and lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledgeable in Inline Plastics Corp's product quality standards and inspection methods
  • Must be able to Comply with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements
  • Must be able to Promptly report any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision
  • Must be able to Resolve potential hazards swiftly
  • Must be able to Attend scheduled EHS trainings
  • Must be able to Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals
  • Must be able to Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements
  • Must be able to Demonstrate safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures
  • Must be able to Ensure that all fall protection procedures are strictly adhered to
  • Must be able to Ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures
  • Must be able to Follow Product Safety and Quality standards
  • Must be able to Follow GMP's regarding food contact packaging
  • Must be able to Follow IPC product defense standards and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, business, or a technical degree in a related field
