Job Summary
Technical Manager leading cross-functional OTT teams; coach and mentor through engineering excellence, QA automation, unit testing, and CI/CD; focus on removing friction, elevating technical standards, and enabling self-organizing squads to deliver scalable digital products. Responsibilities include guiding architecture and upstream work with architects and leadership, hiring and integrating talent, setting objectives and evaluating performance, ensuring proactive communication of technical strategies, and fostering an inclusive, autonomous, high-performing work environment. Requires 3-5+ years of team management in OTT contexts, strong leadership and communication, ability to simplify complex technical concepts, and fluency in French and English. This is a 12-month contract with potential renewal, with telework/hybrid work arrangements and opportunities for remote work as discussed with hiring managers.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in team management
- Experience in managing technical teams in an OTT context
- Ability to work in a team, excellent communicator
- Ease in navigating ambiguity and uncertainty
- Great ability to simplify technical concepts
- Excellent judgment, sense of initiative, great autonomy
- Knowledge of best practices in digital development workflows
- Ability to manage complex situations with strategic, financial, political, operational, and human aspects
- Ability to ask the right questions at the right time
- Proficiency in French and English
