Job Summary
Technical Manager responsible for technical leadership of design, development, and implementation of engineering technical solutions. Provides senior-level technical expertise to project, engineering and technical teams; ensures product deliverables meet company, customer, and quality expectations; regularly collaborates with internal delivery teams, subcontractors, and customer technical representatives; duties include ownership of technical direction, planning support, mentorship of engineers, cross-functional collaboration, configuration management, and risk and quality management. Experience with marine systems, defence or aerospace contexts is an asset; candidates should have strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to engage with SMEs, developers, engineers, technicians, and clients, and to work within security-clearance requirements in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or related field)
- 15 + years of engineering experience in a related field
- Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects
- Experience interacting with SMEs, developers, engineers and technicians from diverse backgrounds
- Holds a valid Canadian passport
- All candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances
