Job Summary
Select personnel, manage operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serve as liaison between project management, planning, and line management. Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports while assessing issues to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. Direct team members to achieve assignments using established guidelines, assign tasks, and review employee work at frequent intervals. Leads development of strategic tasks or small projects by applying engineering and organizational knowledge to achieve technical goals. Actively uncovers technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans. Participates in development of program strategies, teaming strategies, and executable project plans on proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant supervisory experience
- Master's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Fully proficient understanding of project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls
- Self-directed/ self-starting ability
- Fully proficient knowledge of other related disciplines
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Fully proficient written and verbal communications skills
- Fully proficient motivational skills
- Ability to meet business expectations and supervise people
- Fully proficient knowledge of engineering processes
- Travel may be required
- Security clearance may be required
