Job Summary
Civil Engineering Technical Manager – Land Development leads and inspires high-performing teams to deliver impactful, community-shaping projects from concept through construction. Responsibilities include leading the planning and design of land development projects (site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway design), overseeing budgets, schedules, and resource allocation, managing technical, financial, and quality performance, serving as Engineer of Record when required, ensuring compliance with local/state/federal regulations, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, conducting QA/QC reviews, supporting workload forecasting and staff development, developing project scopes and timelines, contributing to business development, and navigating permitting processes. Mentors engineering staff, contributes to strategic planning and innovation for the land development practice. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is preferred; 15+ years of experience; Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
