Job Summary
Technical Learning Advisor at Bombardier focused on delivering targeted learning interventions for aircraft assembly roles. Responsibilities include delivering technical skills assessments, proposing appropriate learning activities, providing technical coaching using multiple processes and simulators, delivering training on technical coaching, participating in problem-solving discussions on human performance issues, and supporting Technical Learning Agents. The role requires extensive manufacturing experience in aircraft assembly, a technical degree and/or aircraft-related certifications/licenses (or equivalent coaching/facilitator experience), strong relationship-building and communication abilities, proficiency in Lean and continuous improvement concepts, and the ability to influence outcomes and work with minimal supervision. Proficiency with MS Office or similar software and the ability to operate in a unionized environment are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting related to aircraft assembly in a hands-on technical role
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience involved with learning activities (coaching/training)
- Technical degree and/or aircraft related certifications and licenses or equivalent experience in coaching/facilitator training
- High level of technical competency and credibility
- Experience working in a unionized environment
- Excellent relational and communication skills (written and spoken)
- Ability to build relationships based on mutual trust
- Ability to influence without authority and develop results-oriented action plans
- Team player
- Experience in Lean and/or continuous improvement concepts
- Self-directed with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite or other software databases
