Job Summary
Technical Leader to oversee and guide mechanical design efforts across programs. Responsibilities include coordinating and leading a design team in a multi-disciplinary, multi-site environment; defining planning and resources for technical design activities; identifying risks and presenting cost/time-based options; designing, building, and testing prototypes to characterize performance; ensuring DFM/DFA integration with injection molding for high-volume manufacturing; mentoring junior engineers; and communicating plans internally and externally. Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), 7+ years of product development experience, familiarity with FDA/ISO regulatory requirements, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks and related tools), experience managing device development, high-volume production, and a consulting background, plus strong communication and cross-site collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of product development experience
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD software, Solid Works and other relevant engineering tools
- Experience with managing all technical aspects of device development
- Experience with high volume production, injection molding and automation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams.
- Ability to network across the organization to support activities across multiple sites
- Experience working in a consulting environment
- Familiar with the basics of electronics and software
