Job Summary
Coordinate and lead the technical design team across multiple programs in a multi-disciplinary, multi-site environment. Develop and communicate action plans while defining resources to achieve technical design objectives. Design, build, and test prototypes to characterize performance, solving complex technical problems within timing and cost constraints. Work with injection molding tooling experts to implement DFM and DFA into detailed designs ready for high-volume manufacturing. Identify potential problems early and suggest options based on cost, time, and requirements while guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of product development experience
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD software, Solid Works and other relevant engineering tools
- Experience with managing all technical aspects of device development
- Experience with high volume production, injection molding and automation
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams
- Ability to network across the organization to support activities across multiple sites
- Experience working in a consulting environment
- Familiar with the basics of electronics and software
