Job Summary
Lead Java development and manage cross-functional teams including frontend, backend, QA, and DevOps engineers. Drive hands-on coding for secure, scalable microservices using React, Angular, or TypeScript while enforcing Agile/Scrum ceremonies. Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS or Azure with Infrastructure as Code, ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines and test automation. Guide offshore resources in the onshore-offshore model, managing remote teams and commercial aspects like revenue recognition.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- knowledge of all phases of SDLC
- 3+ years in leading and managing development teams
- experience using Agile methodologies
- Native Cloud knowledge
- hands on experience from a platform perspective (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS)
- AWS and/or Azure development and deployment experience
- microservice architecture on the cloud
- Understanding and working knowledge of using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Passionate about fast feedback cycles, continuous integration, devops, and test automation
- Experience building secure, scalable software systems (UI, API's, data persistence layers)
- Experience leading a cross functional software team including frontend/backend/QA/Devops engineers
- Strong hands‐on expertise in Java
- Java‐based microservices
- Hands‐on coding and technical contribution experience
- Experience working with and leading remote teams including offshore resources
- Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‐ups, sprint planning, retros, backlog grooming)
Desired Qualifications
- Frontend/UI experience (React/Angular/TypeScript/NodeJS)
- Has worked with UK clients and team
- Has working experience of the onshore – offshore model
- Has experience of commercial awareness in aspects such as revenue recognition and margin management
