Technical Lead, Raw Materials

Technical Lead, Raw Materials leads technical execution of raw material initiatives across Teknor Apex’s plastics compounding businesses, managing a small technical team and driving high-impact projects to identify, evaluate, and implement alternate and next-generation raw materials that improve cost, supply security, performance, compliance, safety, and sustainability. Partners with Technical, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, EHS, Product Stewardship, and business teams to convert opportunities into measurable business results. Responsibilities include leading pipelines for material evaluation and implementation, hands-on project management, coaching the technical team, standardizing evaluation protocols, reviewing SDS and regulatory information, overseeing laboratory testing, translating data into actionable recommendations, and staying current on new material technologies and AI-assisted problem solving. Education and work-experience requirements include 7+ years in plastics/polymers/chemical manufacturing or related fields and a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
