Technical Lead

Job Summary
Technical Lead responsible for the squad’s technical direction: architecting systems, coaching engineers to grow, reviewing architecture and PRs for design and maintainability, and translating technical decisions into business outcomes. You’ll drive squad growth, define architectural standards, and ensure delivery strategies align with product goals while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to improve throughput and quality. You’ll collaborate with Product Management to own the backlog and translate business priorities into technical work, communicating clearly with both engineers and executives. You’ll thrive in a fintech/regulated environment, shaping AI-native architectures and fostering an engineering culture that values ownership, courage, and client-focused delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing software engineers, including giving hard feedback and growing people into roles they didn’t think they could fill
- Deep technical expertise in system design, distributed systems, and at least one modern language (Python)
- Ability to translate technical complexity into business language and communicate with engineers and executives under pressure
- Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development tools and ability to integrate AI into team workflows, not just individual coding
