Job Summary
Design and review secure, scalable RESTful APIs and microservices platforms while leading complex third-party system integrations and financial message transformations. Plan and execute 2 to 5 parallel project implementations, aligning milestones with the broader product roadmap and collaborating with Product Owners and Solutions Architects. Define version control branching strategies, enforce strict commit hygiene, and establish rigorous merge request policies including automated security gating and architectural checks. Oversee post-merge triggers, artifact versioning, and automated deployment to lower environments, ensuring successful integration test runs and tracking observability metrics. Act as the ultimate technical escalation point to diagnose and resolve critical production issues, driving thorough deployment sanity testing and maintaining system reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in backend development using C#.NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET 6+
- Strong proficiency in relational database management systems, specifically PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
- Advanced capability in writing optimized SQL queries, complex stored procedures, and managing evolving data schemas
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and production orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (K8s) or Red Hat OpenShift
- Prior experience building and deploying scalable solutions on major cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong understanding of automation through modern CI/CD practices (Git, automated deployment pipelines) paired with Agile methodologies using tools like Jira
- Proven expertise in writing comprehensive unit tests and utilizing mocking frameworks to maintain high code coverage and ensure business logic accuracy
- Experience designing and executing rapid sanity checks and API test suites (e.g., via Postman, SoapUI, or automated scripts) to verify core API health post-deployment
- Deep understanding of data serialization, API management platforms, and financial messaging formats (JSON, XML, SOAP)
- Solid experience developing automated background processes, batch jobs, and console applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate dense technical architecture into actionable, dependency-free tasks for developers
- A strong problem-solving mindset with the resilience to thrive under pressure and adapt to moving project scopes
- A natural inclination toward establishing engineering standards, ensuring rigorous unit test code coverage, and maintaining thorough system documentation
