Job Summary
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance web applications using Node.js and React.js. Architect complex enterprise systems handling large-scale data processing and high transaction volumes while driving backend focus on scalability, security, and maintainability. Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices. Design and optimize APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, ensuring reliability through performance monitoring and continuous improvement. Lead cloud-native initiatives on Azure or AWS, drive DevOps and CI/CD adoption with containerization, and participate in Agile ceremonies for release planning. Requires 7+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of software development experience, including experience leading development teams or technical initiatives
- Strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and backend architecture
- Good hands-on experience with React.js and its core principles, including component-based architecture, state management, and performance optimization
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, and Azure Cosmos DB
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deploying and managing containerized applications in production environments
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, system design, code refactoring, application security, and scalable architecture principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and performance optimization techniques
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience managing client expectations and technical discussions
