Job Summary
Technical Lead (Engineering Lead) to own reliability of production environments across cloud infrastructure and the quality of software engineering practices. Responsibilities include leading incident response and postmortems, architecting and maintaining infrastructure with Terraform/IaC, defining monitoring and observability standards, overseeing deployment pipelines and release processes, driving cloud cost optimization, managing access and security, documenting runbooks, and mentoring mid-level and junior engineers. In software engineering, design and review backend services and automation frameworks, lead code reviews and establish engineering standards, collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, advance CI/CD and deployment automation, and build internal platforms to improve developer efficiency. Leadership responsibilities include serving as the technical point of contact across teams, guiding engineers, contributing to roadmap planning and architectural decisions, and fostering a culture of reliability and ownership. Required: 5+ years in Software Engineering/DevOps/SRE/Cloud roles with 1–2+ years in a technical lead capacity; strong cloud experience (AWS/GCP) with cost management; Kubernetes (GKE); Terraform/CloudFormation; Python or similar for backend tooling; GitLab and end-to-end CI/CD; incident response and postmortems; engineering best practices; strong cross-functional communication in English; ability to work independently and mentor others. Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a combination of Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles, with at least 1–2 years in a technical lead or senior capacity
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, GCP including architecture and cost management
- Solid experience with Kubernetes environments, especially GKE
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Experience building or maintaining backend services or internal tooling using Python or similar languages
- Experience with GitLab and managing CI/CD pipelines end-to-end
- Demonstrated ability to lead incident response, conduct postmortems, and implement long-term remediations
- Experience driving engineering best practices: code reviews, testing standards, deployment automation
- Strong ability to communicate and align technical decisions across engineering, product, and leadership teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize across competing workstreams, and mentor others effectively
