Technical Lead, Drinking Water Treatment Engineer

Job Summary
Lead modeling and simulation of drinking water treatment processes using advanced computational tools. Ensure designs comply with all applicable environmental regulations and standards while conducting assessments to identify improvements in existing systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative solutions, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions and engage with stakeholders, including agencies and community members, on project developments. Assist with planning new business opportunities and provide visible technical leadership within and outside AECOM. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience and BC Professional Engineer registration. Based in any of three BC offices with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- demonstrated equivalency of experience and education in drinking water treatment engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of BC
- eligibility to become registered within 12 months
- Travel as needed for project site visits and client meetings

- 20+ years of experience in drinking water treatment engineering
- Strong knowledge of water quality standards, treatment processes, and environmental regulations
- Experience understanding client challenges and developing practical engineering solutions
- Master's degree in related field

- Expertise in water treatment modeling software and data analysis tools
- Strong understanding of local, provincial, and federal regulations related to water treatment and quality
- AWWA certifications
