Job Summary
Provide pragmatic technical guidance to the development team, ensuring high-quality code and accurate risk estimation. Work with Project Managers and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and align with high-level designs. Monitor daily progression, troubleshoot issues, and code 20% to 60% of the time while documenting functionality. Own the automated software deployment process, evolving it and sharing broad experience to inspire technical excellence. Advocate methods to increase velocity and decrease waste. Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, readability, performance, and security. Contribute to new application standards, infrastructure, and adherence to existing methodologies, including source code and environment management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience building web-based and server-based applications using Java, Spring, relational database (PostgreSQL)
- Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID Principles, and Design Patterns
- Experience with RESTful or GraphQL services
- Experience using Git version control system
- Experience with Docker / Podman
- Experience with CI/CD technologies
- Experience developing JavaScript code
- Strong knowledge of TDD, Unit Tests, Mocking frameworks, and Integration Tests
- Agile/SAFe Programming expertise
- Superior business analysis and technical skills
- Ability to serve as technological expert to junior and team staff
- Ability to train on new applications
- Understanding of distributed applications involving asynchronous programming techniques
- Understanding of queuing
- Understanding of caching
