Technical Lead/Audio Engineer

Technical Lead/Audio Engineer responsible for overseeing and supporting the technical systems powering Fremont Street Experience entertainment operations, including stages, mall audio, PA, lighting, monitor, and performer-support equipment. Acts as technical authority for system design, installation, programming, tuning, and long-term reliability; ensures RF coordination, system readiness for concerts and events, and alignment with safety standards. Provides leadership to the technical crew, oversees operation of all venues’ audio/lighting/stage systems, performs regular backups, fills in audio engineer shifts, and maintains system documentation. Responsibilities include firmware updates, troubleshooting, long-term solutions, biweekly RF scans, equipment maintenance and asset management, facilitating upgrades, creating procedural documentation, developing training programs, and maintaining vendor relationships to optimize costs. Requires proficiency with tools and software such as Microsoft Office, Q-Sys, Dante, SMAART, Pro Tools, Avid/S6L consoles, Allen & Heath, Midas, Digico, Yamaha, and related networking, and the ability to work nights/weekends and in varied environments while adhering to safety standards.
