Job Summary
Technical Insulation Specialist – Air Distribution tasked with delivering technical expertise, training, and field support to sales teams, customers, and contractors on fiberglass air distribution products. Serves as a subject-matter resource for installation practices, performance, and code/compliance considerations; collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Technical Services, and Product Management to translate technical insights into practical solutions that enhance customer outcomes and support growth. Responsibilities include delivering classroom and hands-on training, addressing field questions, developing installation guides and training materials, supporting product and system innovation, monitoring codes and standards, and producing technical content (presentations, webinars) for internal and external audiences. Travel up to ~50% across North America; location: Houston. Continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in industry organizations is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in commercial building air distribution or related industries
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, fabrication, and insulation applications
- Experience providing training or presenting to contractors, distributors, engineers, or sales teams
- Familiarity with building codes, specifications, and approval processes related to air distribution systems
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in construction, fabrication, or mechanical systems installation
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with ASTM, UL, and other relevant industry standards
- Experience developing technical training content or digital learning materials
- Working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office and digital presentation platforms
