Job Summary
Technical Fiber Analyst responsible for end-to-end testing of dark fiber delivery projects and acceptance recommendations of purchased vendor network. Responsibilities include managing project schedules per customer, coordinating field teams and vendors, analyzing vendor fiber data handover packages, building field and power reports using EXFO FastReporter2, interpreting OTDR traces and dispersion data, preparing deployment testing packages (network schematics, scope of works, test result packages, site access tickets), and ensuring delivery of final handover data within three days after testing. Requires strong project management, ability to coordinate with vendors and customer support, experience with ISP/OSP fiber networks, and proficiency with EXFO FastReporter/related software. Travel up to 10% and a bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering subject or equivalent technical experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering subject or related technical experience
- Minimum of two years in a project management or project support capacity
- Minimum 3 years experience within a Telecom Network Infrastructure environment
- Experience with EXFO FastReporter software analysis tool
- Advanced use experience with Fast Reporter 2 or equivalent
- Ability to interpret OTDR, CD/PMD, OLTS and CMAX traces and files
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate field teams and vendor support
- Experience building test data reports and deployment testing packages
- Ability to deliver final handover data within three days of test completion
