Technical Fiber Analyst

Job Summary
Manage end-to-end testing of dark fiber delivery projects and acceptance recommendations of purchased vendor network. Coordinate field teams and vendors, build deployment testing packages (including network schematics, scope of works, test result packages, and site access information), and produce test data reports and optical power value reports. Review OTDR, CD/PMD, OLTS, and CMAX traces, validate fiber issues, prepare handover data within three days of test completion, and interface with vendors or customer support for remediation. Requires strong project management, experience with EXFO FastReporter/Fast Reporter 2, and knowledge of ISP/OSP fiber networks. Travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of two years in a project management or project support capacity
- Experience with EXFO FastReporter software
- Advanced use experience with Fast Reporter 2 or equivalent
- Able to understand and interpret OTDR, CD/PMD, OLTS and CMAX traces and files
- Able to describe the details, structure and layout of ISP and OSP Fiber Networks
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with coordinating field engineers and vendors
- Travel potential up to 10%
