Job Summary
As the Technical Estimator at RVI, you’ll provide estimates and technical support to the sales department by preparing estimates from blueprints and specifications, identifying labor, material, and time requirements, and presenting structured numerical and descriptive information. You’ll maintain estimating tools and cost databases, update technical knowledge through workshops and publications, and contribute to meeting or exceeding company goals. Required skills include reading and interpreting blueprints, CAD/engineering software knowledge, proficiency in Excel, strong written and verbal communication with client contacts, and the ability to work independently within timelines. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and an Associate’s Degree or equivalent two-year college/technical training, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
