Job Summary
Technical Estimator at RVI responsible for providing the sales department with estimates and technical support. Prepare estimates by utilizing blueprints, specifications, and related documents; determine accuracy and completeness of information; maintain information in a structured and organized manner; identify labor, material, and time requirements; present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information; maintain estimating tools and cost database; continually update technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications; contribute to team effort by achieving goals and strategies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree or two-year college or technical school
- 2+ years of experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications
- Knowledge of CAD software and/or other engineering software
- Ability to meet critical timelines
- Ability to communicate professionally and technically with Client Contacts
