Job Summary
Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC projects by reviewing mechanical/electrical/plumbing drawings, specifications, and scope documents; perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, equipment, and labor; analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes; develop comprehensive bid packages; identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to validate pricing and scope; maintain and update cost databases, pricing sheets, and historical data; support estimate revisions and budget updates for project teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in technical service in HVAC industry
- Must have prior experience as an HVAC technician
- Thorough understanding of HVAC parts and mechanical operations and being able to troubleshoot technical issues
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully manage relationships with client operational staff, client executives, company executives, co-workers, subordinates and direct reports
- Skilled at establishing and working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic team environment with multiple priorities
