Job Summary
Technical Engineer II responsible for expert support to customers and internal teams on application, performance, and troubleshooting of BOPP films. Role bridges product development, customer engagement, and quality assurance to support commercialization of new film grades for packaging, labels, lamination, and industrial markets. Responsibilities include evaluating products at customer sites, identifying processing parameters and equipment, interfacing with customers to resolve issues, analyzing production data for trends, supporting R&D production trials, acting as a liaison between market and production, and providing cross-functional support to sales, quality, purchasing, and manufacturing. Requires travel up to 50%, strong problem-solving and communication skills, proficiency with Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook, ability to present findings clearly, and a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours. Office-based with some field responsibilities in Morristown, TN and Talbott, TN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field preferred or at least 5 years related experience in BOPP or plastic films or flexible packaging industry
