Job Summary
Review and edit intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency while ensuring style and format conform to agency publication standards. Verify proper classification markings and in-text citations align with Intelligence Community guidance, then work directly with authors to revise critical intelligence production in a fast-paced environment. Maintain consistency with appropriate style guides and specialized vocabulary throughout the editing process. This role requires a 24/7 environment and active TS/SCI clearance. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience reviewing written intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and adherence to style guides with a high level of accuracy
- Knowledge of Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience as a technical editor in the IC
- 7+ years of experience as a technical editor in the IC in lieu of a degree
- Ability to communicate complex topics to audiences of varied backgrounds, levels, and comprehension
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a COCOM environment
- Experience incorporating intelligence information into all-source research, analysis, and production
- Knowledge of the IC and office-style guides
