Job Summary
Develop, write, edit, and format technical documentation including memorandums, instructions, policy documents, and correspondence for Department of Navy programs. Ensure all materials comply with DoD/DoN policies and collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and program managers to gather source data. Edit documents for clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to required templates while maintaining version control and document configuration management. Support the development of program documentation for milestone reviews and audits, and assist in preparing materials for briefings, proposals, and official submissions. Maintain an Active Secret clearance and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. This role supports a Navy customer in the Washington D.C. area, with potential for remote work or telework based on value added to the customer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or related discipline
- ten (10) or more years of experience in creating/editing technical materials
- High school degree
- fifteen (15) or more years of experience of operations management support
- thirteen (13) or more years of experience in creating/editing technical materials
- Active Secret clearance

- Specialized experience in Navy Modernization
- Engineering Change Management
- ISO 9001 - QMS
- CMMI Level III Principles and Practices
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to develop, maintain, and update large documents and manuals
