Job Summary
Provide technical editing and development of S1000D manuals for Navy logistics programs, including creating and maintaining XML data modules, and authoring IETMs. Responsibilities include applying MIL-DTL-24784D and S1000D guidelines, performing redlines, and troubleshooting formats; developing/revising programs/scripts in XML, VBA, Javascript, Arbortext Command Language, and Python to automate manual authoring and data management; managing drawings and configuration data; conducting root cause investigations and producing papers to improve fleet readiness; supporting engineering data analyses, configuration control for hardware/software, and program reviews; contributing to metrics, schedules, and program briefs; providing graphics editing using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and AutoCAD. Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Pivot Tables, Gantt Charts, Formulas), Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing/editing and/or support for the US Navy
