Job Summary
Technical Documentation / S1000D Specialist at Destinus responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing technical publications across aerospace/defense programs using S1000D standards. Create operator and maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, and other technical publications; manage updates, revisions, and change control throughout the product lifecycle; ensure consistency between engineering data and documentation; support Common Source Databases and XML-based environments; review and validate documentation produced by internal teams and external suppliers; collaborate with Engineering, ILS, and Configuration Management to ensure technical accuracy; support customer reviews, audits, qualification activities, and documentation acceptance processes; contribute to engineering change management, documentation standards, procedures, and best practices; assist with proposal and bid deliverables. Security screening and Certificate of Conduct are part of the application process.
Required Qualifications
- What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, Aerospace, Defence, Logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience developing technical documentation using S1000D standards.
- Experience working with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals and documentation lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of configuration management principles.
- Experience working with technical publications in highly regulated industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with Common Source Databases and XML based documentation environments is considered a strong advantage.
- Exposure to aerospace, UAV, defence, or military programs is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support principles is considered a plus.
- Additional European languages are an advantage.
